Remedial massage focuses on parts of the body that require relief from muscle soreness, fatigue and tightness.

Pregnancy Massage
Focuses on both the prenatal and postnatal periods. Massage for this precious time allows me to support women and reduce the more complex discomforts experienced in pregnancy. My background as a Midwife has given me awareness of the benefits of massage through the perinatal journey from preconception to pregnancy, labour, birth and into the postnatal period.
I have gained a greater insight into the complex body and system changes happening through pregnancy, labour and postnatally. Your emotions and feelings towards pregnancy, labour and beyond will be validated with empathy and understanding. I have the confidence and knowledge needed to treat pregnant women throughout their journey into motherhood and beyond.
A comfortable side lying position is used through out the treatment.
Packages can be arranged by request.
Please consult with your antenatal provider prior to making an appointment if considered high risk or feel free to email/DM/PH to discuss options

Pre Labour Calm Acuneedling

This technique is used to balance the flow of energy or life force (known as qi) believed to flow through pathways (known as meridians) in your body. During acupuncture, very fine needles are inserted through the skin at points along the meridians to correct imbalances and restore health.
Pre labour calm can be used to prepare the body for your childbirth experience and works by tonifying and nourishing the body. Acuneedling works on a cumulative effect and can be attended weekly from 37 wks.

Treatment can start from 37 wks and will depend on a pre screening to rule out any contraindications.
Remember there is no magic button for labour, we are purely helping the body do what it does naturally.
If needles are not your thing we can discuss acupressure points for you and your birth partner to use.
